Kampala Community Church is a non-denominational church located at plot 8006 Masanafu trading center Sentema Road. We believe in the Bible as the word of God and is the basis of our faith in God through Jesus Christ his Son who died to save us from our sins.
Kampala Community Church was started in January 2008 by Pastor James and Lilian Teira in a bad suburb of Kampala Called Masanafu. “We had never been to Masanafu but in a vision – I saw my Pastor pointing us to start a Church along the Northern bypass in Masanafu. We took a trip to visit the place but it was scary. The place was full of shrines for witch doctors, alcohol, drugs, poverty… and prostitution ruled in the community.
My wife kept saying that it was the place but it would take a voice of God to convince me to start the Church in such a place – A person I had never met before came to me saying “…you will find gold in the middle of the impoverished…” God had precious lives he loved in this community.”
